You can use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation

Appointment cancellations: please use the link on Appointments Screen 'Cancel your Appointment online' .  If you send a message via the comments box we may not receive it in time

A doctor's appointment is not usually required for sick notes, repeat medication requests, insurance forms.  If in doubt please contact the doctor's secretary before booking an appointment

Comments and Complaints

We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice.

However we are aware that things can go wrong, resulting in a patient feeling that he or she has a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly and as amicably as possible.

To pursue a complaint please contact the Practice Manager and she will deal with your concerns appropriately. Further written information regarding the complaints procedure is available  from reception.

We are continually striving to improve our service. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated. A Suggestion/Comments form is available from the receptionist.


The Health Service Ombudsman

The Health Service Ombudsman has published a booklet that describes the ‘six principles for remedy’ in relation to complaints handling and involves:

  1. Getting it right
  2. Being customer focused
  3. Being open and accountable
  4. Acting fairly and proportionately
  5. Putting things right
  6. Seeking continuous improvements

If you remain unhappy after everything has been done to try to resolve your concern or complaint you have the right to approach the Ombudsman.
